Personal Bibles
Bibles are the most personal book you can own. Its words of daily encouragement come to you every time you read it. Over the years and through use, the book begins to fall apart. It has your notes and memories attached to it, and it is part of your life. We have rebound a lot of Bibles over the years. We use genuine leather on our rebinds. The texture of real leather is a special feeling. As the years go on it gets smoother and more supple to the touch. Our rebind process is one of reinforcing or rebinding the book itself. We add a new ribbon to coordinate with the leather color. We then gold foil stamp the title on the spine of the book along with pertinent information. With the Bible inserted into its new cover, it is ready to be used for another generation
Family Bibles
The big family Bible was a mainstay in past generations. There are many different styles that were produced over the years. They were big and heavy and were used for many things besides reading out of. It often time, had the family histories recorded. Bibles I have done have gone back to the 18th century. The family record keeping was what it was used for many times. The books are big and durable but even they, over time, were set aside and out of view, in an attic or even a barn until discovered again by some family member. The change of seasons would often time do heavy damage to the cover but the inside pages would still be protected. Many times we have been presented with what appears to be a disaster for book. We can salvage it and put it into first class shape again. Taking what is left of the cover and incorporating it into a new cover. Rebinding the loose pages. New cover made with a lot of the original. It takes time to do but we think its worth it
Special Books
Every book is unique. We offer a complete rebinding service for almost any type of book. If it has a cover on it it can be rebound. If you want to put a new cover on your manuscript we can do that.
Children's books {old & new}, Cookbooks are our specialty. Family history or town history books, we do it. We can do thesis for individuals. Personal textbooks used for studies.
